Choosing the perfect wedding dress is one of the most exciting parts of planning your big day. At Belle & Bouquet, we understand that finding the gown of your dreams can be both exhilarating and overwhelming. That’s why we’ve compiled a list of frequently asked questions to help guide you through the process and ensure that you find the dress that’s just right for you.

A: Yes, we do advise you to make an appointment to come see us. We want your experience with us to be exactly how you have always dreamt it to be. We generally allow 2 hours for a bridal appointment this gives you plenty of time to look through all our collections and try on as many as you need until you find the perfect dress for you.

A: Wedding gown shopping should be an intimate experience with your close family or friends. Bringing along too many people can very often result in conflicting opinions caused by personal preferences and not always thinking about the happiness of the bride. We feel the bride and 2/3 others, of whos opinion she values, makes for a successful appointment. However during Covid-19 restrictions a maximum of 2 guests is permitted.

A: At Belle and Bouquet we always recommend you allow at least 12 months to find your perfect dress. This is because we need time to order your dress which can take up to 6 months to be delivered and then additional time for fittings making sure that your dress fits perfectly before your big day.

A: We recommend you to come with an open mind! Every dress looks different when it is on a body. Even if you think you know what style you are looking for, come prepared to try lots of different styles – this way you’ll know when you find the perfect dress. Eliminating styles is just as important as finding the styles you like in the search for your perfect dress.

Tell us what you are looking for! – if you tell us what you like and don’t like, we can help select dresses for you to try on.

If you do have a budget in mind, feel free to make us aware of it. In most cases we will be able to suggest dresses that will fit within your budget and what you are looking for in a dress.

A: Yes! We think it is so important that you are able to go away and look at the photos of yourself in the gowns when deciding! We want you to be able to remember how beautiful you looked in our dresses!

We stock UK sizes 8 – 28. When we order a dress for you we take your measurements and make a recommendation as to what size you would need to order based on these measurements. Please be aware that sizes may differ between designers and maybe at least 2 sizes bigger than your everyday size.

A: We require 50% deposit to order you special gown, this can be split into agreed amounts over an agreed time. When we have received the full 50% deposit we will get your gown on order, once it arrives with us which can take up to 6months the remaining 50% balance is then due. So the sooner we have your deposit the sooner your gown will be safely in our store and you can relax knowing its one less thing to worry about.

A: When you order your dress with us, we will give you a rough idea of when to expect delivery of it. Once your dress has arrived with us, it will be checked over and then we will contact you to arrange for you to come and try it on which is when any outstanding balance is to be paid.

A: If your wedding is overseas, we have a range of travel boxes that will fit in any overhead locker. Your dress will be packed and ready to wear so that all you have to do is transport the box to your destination.

A: If you have got plans to lose weight before your big day then we will (with your approval) order the gown size that you are comfortable in at the time of ordering. From experience we know that it is always better to err on the side of caution, as a dress can be easily reduced in size and generally not much the other way.

We would like to request that you don't wear fake tan when you come to your appointment. We take a lot of pride in our dresses and like to keep them in pristine condition for you all to try.
